Support

Let's get your next game running. Here are answers to the common questions, and a real person at the other end of the email.

Report a bug

In the app: Settings → About → Report a bug. The email is prefilled with the app version and device, so we don't have to ask.

Restore purchases

Bought Premium Escape Pack on another device? Open Settings and tap Restore purchases using the same Apple Account.

Getting started

  • Tap the plus button in the library and pick a template: a quick single-lock vault, a classic escape with three locks or a branching mystery. You can also start from an empty project.
  • Add scenes, locks and hints in the storyboard. Choose a theme and a treasure.
  • Validate the project and play the whole mission before the players arrive.
  • Set up the device and tap Start the adventure.

Ending a game in progress

If you've set a creator PIN, hold the close button and enter the code. That way players can't leave the game by accident. To start over completely, use Clear saved progress under Data in settings.

Importing a game

  • Game key: Use the import button in the library and paste the key, or scan the QR code.
  • Game file: Open a .gvx or .gvxproject file from Files, Mail or AirDrop and it opens in GameVault X.
  • The treasure file won't load: A key with a link to a treasure file needs the internet while importing. Check your connection and try again.

Backing up and moving adventures

Everything is stored on the device. Export important adventures as .gvxproject and keep the file in Files, iCloud Drive or on a computer. Use the same file to move to a new device.

The camera or photos aren't working

The camera is needed for QR codes and AR. Open the iOS Settings → GameVault X and turn on Camera. Photos are picked with Apple's photo picker and need no special permission.

Premium isn't showing

Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy, then tap Restore purchases. If that doesn't help, email us with the approximate purchase date. Don't send receipts that show payment details.

Requirements and languages

GameVault X runs on iPhone and iPad. The latest version requires iOS 17 or later. The app is available in English, Swedish, German, Danish, Norwegian, Spanish, Finnish and French, and you can switch language in the app's settings.

Deleting your data

Delete adventures in the library, clear progress in settings or uninstall the app to remove everything. Read more in the privacy policy.
